Tuesday, July 4 the El Cerrito Library Foundation and the Friends of the Library each will have a booth next to each other at the El Cerrito WorldOne, July 4 Festival. The Festival is free to all and runs from 11am to 5pm at Cerrito Vista Park on Moeser Ave.
At the Festival the Foundation will be sharing information about the proposed new Plaza Station library under consideration for El Cerrito. They will also be asking fairgoers what features of a new library are most important to them. They will share the feedback they get with the folks who are beginning to design the proposed new library.
You will also be able to sign up for progress reports about the library at the Festival.
The Friends of the Library will have selected used books for sale and applications to sign up as a volunteer.
We encourage you to come to the Fair; it is a family-friendly event with lots of information about groups in El Cerrito who are working hard to make our community better. It is also a time for family games, food, music, and good old-fashioned fun.

The El Cerrito City Council, the Friends of the El Cerrito Library, our Library Foundation and many enthusiastic Library supporters are working to build a new 21st century library of adequate size and with modern features and equipment to serve the growing El Cerrito community.
We will keep you up to date on developments regarding a new library with occasional news reports from the Foundation. If you know of others who might be interested in keeping track of this project, direct them to our Foundation web site at: https://eclibraryfoundation.org/ where they can sign up for breaking news.
