The Friends of the El Cerrito Library and the Foundation will be at the 2022 City of El Cerrito & World~One 4th of July Festival!

It will be held Monday, July 4 At Cerrito Vista Park, corner of Moeser Lane & Pomona Avenue, El Cerrito from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Both the Friends and El Cerrito Library Foundation booths will be on Pomona Avenue in front of the Contra Costa Civic Theater. Be sure to drop by and share your comments about a new El Cerrito Library on Fairmount Avenue as part of the BART El Cerrito Plaza Station TOD Project and pick up your “Little Green Sticker”

The following change to library operations was received from the CCC Librarian June 1, 2022.

Dear Valued Library Patron,

Due to a spike in COVID-19 cases in our communities and on the recommendation of the County Health Officer, the return of in-person storytimes and all other in-person programs is delayed until further notice. Though we are saddened and disappointed by the news, this decision is for the health and safety of the library staff and all of you. We will stay in close communication with County Health Services and announce when storytimes and other in-person programs will return as soon as we can.

Estimado y Valioso Usuario de la Biblioteca.

Debido a un aumento en los casos de COVID-19 en nuestras comunidades y por recomendación de los Oficiales de Salud del Condado, el regreso de la hora del cuento en persona y todos los demás programas en persona, se retrasa hasta nuevo aviso. Aunque estamos tristes y decepcionados por esta noticia, esta decisión es para la salud y seguridad del personal de la biblioteca y de todos ustedes.
